Alex Collins Death

 

Alex Collins was born on August 26, 1994, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He attended South Plantation High School, where he was a two-sport star in football and track. In football, he was a two-time All-State selection and the 2012 Broward County Player of the Year. He rushed for over 3,000 yards and 40 touchdowns in his high school career.


Collins went on to play college football at the University of Arkansas. He was a four-year starter for the Razorbacks and rushed for over 2,000 yards in each of his final three seasons. He was named to the All-SEC First Team in 2015.

Collins was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He played in 14 games as a rookie and rushed for 450 yards and three touchdowns. He became the Seahawks' starting running back in 2017 and rushed for 973 yards and seven touchdowns.

Collins was traded to the Baltimore Ravens in 2018. He had a breakout season, rushing for 1,000 yards and seven touchdowns. He was named to the Pro Bowl in 2018.

Collins was released by the Ravens in 2019. He signed with the Oakland Raiders, but was released after just one season. He then signed with the Seattle Seahawks again in 2020. He played in 10 games for the Seahawks in 2020.

Collins is currently a free agent. He has rushed for over 3,000 yards and 20 touchdowns in his NFL career.
