Because California is situated in a seismically active area, earthquakes frequently occur there. The state experiences over 1,500 earthquakes year, the majority of which are too minor to be felt. However, a significant earthquake is always a possibility.

It's critical to be earthquake-ready if you reside in California. This is possible by:

  • Assembling an earthquake kit with provisions for food, water, first treatment, and other necessities.
  • knowing how to safely escape your home according to your earthquake plan.
  • practising earthquake drills with your friends and family.
